Week of 12/6

After delivering our somewhat mediocre presentation, Professor Furman had given us the opportunity to meet with Paul, someone who has had much more experience in developing cabin/podcar designs in Solidworks. Paul was able to give me insight on aspects such as "Design Language" and how to implement it when delivering a presentation. Presentations for our particular subproject are rather difficult to us as engineering majors as the major component of our work relies purely on aesthetics, with a few geometric and physical constraints added. This leads us to find factors that are not necessarily relevant to present on (or factors that are pretty negligible) just to make it seem like we're not sitting around doing jack shit. Paul was also able to teach me more about some features in solidworks, particularly establishing boundary surfaces which would enable me to develop much more complex shapes quickly.

week of 11/30

Following the presentations given by the other teams, I continued to try and get ANSYS to work. In addition I worked on our team's presentation and am currently working to find a source to get more prototypes printed out.
