week of 10/25

The first prototype was picked up from Prof. Youseffi. Since the original CAD model had to be scaled down 10%, one minor mistake was made (the mounting bracket dimensions were too small) which will be resolved in the next model. Currently I am awaiting on my partner to develop additional drawings for concept generation purposes, as this second prototype will incorporate more aesthetic aspects to it.

AJ gave the idea of utilizing the bottom of the cabin as that will be the portion that will be mostly seen by people from below. Currently the idea is to sell that space for advertisements so that it can act as a mobile billboard.

Week of 4/18

This week I was able to get a print of our podcar finished by the Central Shop. At this point in time we have two finished models available for use, with a third model in the works from Professor Youseffi. I plan to procure at least 2 more (for a total of 5) podcars in our stable of models.

This week I plan to consult some time with prof Youssefi regarding a 3D render of our finalized podcar. Upon learning the costs of printing out a cabin, we decided to fore go a second prototype and do as much of the assessment on computer (which we should have done in the first place)
